OPPORTUNITY:
Thorpe Park Leeds is an established business park that has recently undergone a multi-million pound expansion of its Shopping & Leisure Park. The Shopping & Leisure Park serves leading high brands such as New Look, Next, Odeon, Marks & Spencer as well as national restaurant chains such as Nandos and Prezzo within the complex. MAC Paving Ltd was commissioned by the project main contractors, Moortown Group, to provide over 15,000M2 of the kerbing and paving requirements.
SOLUTION:
MAC Paving Ltd provided a team of 11 highly-skilled, trained and qualified operatives to install conversational radial kerbs, HP2 & channel kerbs as well as laying Andover paving across the entire site. Working to a demanding timeline, MAC Paving Ltd both maintained and exceeded expectations in quality standards regulated by the City of Leeds Council. Additionally we provided solutions to maximise draining efficiency and minimise residual surface water across the park. MAC Paving Ltd meticulously applied edging solutions that improves the alignment of the kerbing, which in-turn aesthetically improves the appeal of the construction of the site.
OUTCOME:
MAC Paving Ltd’s reputation for reliability has been praised by the Moortown Group for delivering a complex paving solution to a demanding timeline through efficiency and quality orientated methods of working. MAC Paving Ltd ensured that potential trip hazard issues were minimised and build issues proactively addressed during the build phase. The project was successfully completed and signed off as agreed at the end of October 2018 and MAC Paving Ltd were highly complimented by the lead contractors for their services.
