Engcon Tiltrotator added to MAC Group Ltd’s Capabilities

MAC Group Ltd has invested in yet more cutting-edge technology as the company acquires the Engcon Tiltrotator capability to its impressive array of in-house Plant capability.

The Engcon tiltrotator is a hydraulic attachment that fits between an excavator’s boom and its tool (bucket, grapple, etc.). It transforms the excavator into a highly versatile tool carrier by enabling 360° continuous rotation and up to 45° tilt of attachments. This dramatically improves flexibility, efficiency, and precision on job sites.

   • 45° tilt angle (some models offer dual 45° tilt) for angled digging and grading.

   • Works with buckets, grapples, sweepers, compactors, and more.

3. Quick Coupler System (EC-Oil)

   • Automatic hydraulic, electrical, and lubrication connections.

   • Compatible with EPS (Engcon Positioning System) for integration with machine control systems (e.g., Leica, Trimble, Topcon).

MAC Group Ltd took delivery of their second brand new Develon DX 140 LCR-7 in as many weeks on 17^th November 2025. However, this latest acquisition is a little special as this machine is fitted with the unbelievably versatile “Engcon Tilrotator EC214S”. This attachment with the S60 pick-up adds significant capability and flexibility to the growing MAC Group Ltd fleet for 2026. For the purchase MAC Group Ltd have continued their long association with Develon excavators. As with previous Develon equipment purchases, this latest machine was again ordered through Develon’s UK sales agents, Filtermech Plant Sales Ltd.

The new machine was delivered to Stu Maclean and Dave Dawson of MAC Group Ltd, at their Lincoln depot this week. Speaking of the new acquisition, MAC Groups Ltd’s Managing Director Stu Maclean commented that the new Tilrotator capability would be “a game-changer for our company as the flexibility, speed and quality this capability will provide will be amazing”. He added, “the versatility of the 14t Develon DX140LCR-7 coupled with this Engcon attachment will significantly change how we work and what we can achieve with a single driver. While the drivers will need to undergo training and gain familiarity with the system, once achieved, this combination will be a significant addition to the fleet, especially for our drainage systems installations”.

Dave Dawson further added, “We have had a long collaboration with Phil and the Filtermech team. They have supplied and supported a substantial proportion of the MAC Group fleet over recent years. We simply told Phil what we needed, and he took care of the rest including the Engcon retrofit at their site in Barnsley. The machine was delivered fully configured with the Tilrotator and attachments to our Lincoln site as agreed.
